A fresh start for Paul Donahoe

Thursday, September 4, 2008

Please feel free to leave words of encouragement to Paul using the commenting function. I know some of Paul's friends at NU actually visit this site. Or you can click here for the latest development.

Paul Donahoe is having a fresh start at boro. Good on him.

Apparently, he was under a lot of stress for the recent drama, and did not want to further comment on the issue nor the rumored lawsuit against NU. Paul was, however, very thankful that Edinboro gave him the opportunity for a fresh start.

Asked if he was concerned scrutiny will follow him to Edinboro, Donahoe's eyes filled with tears.

"I'm just really thankful they have given me this opportunity to come here and finish my career," said Donahoe, who was 86-18 in three seasons at Nebraska. "So far everyone I've met has been great."

Way before all these dramas, I was already in love with Paul. See this post? Check the date, the "scandal" broke out in early August and my post was dated July 11. Back then I was totally smitten by this incredibly good looking man by the name of "Nash". 3 weeks after the outing drama, everyone seemed to have move on, and that's exactly what I have hoped for.

It is despicable and weak for the scarlet project assholes to do what they did. What goes around comes around, bitch!

Paul's mum actually had a profile on one of the social networking sites and I visited it today, to protect her privacy, I'll call her "Lynn". "Lynn" seemed like an amazingly nice woman. She seemed to be very proud of her son despite what happened, and she mentioned his outstanding wrestling achievements in her profile. She wrote that Paul wrestled from a very young age, and when he took first place in the 125 lb weight class, the whole family went to the stadium and saw him win.

I suspect a lot of these self-righteous people who jumped out and pointed fingers at Paul and Kenny were down right hypocrites. Many of their arguments didn't even make logical sense. I did not see anything wrong on their parts.

Scarlet assholes, what did Paul do that you didn't? Did you not masturbate? Not even once?

Speaking of lacking moral, I see politicians starting an unnecessary war and sending naive18-year-old young men to Iraq for the sake of their own economic benefit much more unethical than posing nude for some really tastefully done photos.

Words of support for Paul

It is heartwarming for me to see that some people chose to stand up for Paul and our freedom of expression. Here are some of the replies written on forums:

"If you guys have any questions of why Paul and Kenny did this and if they are homo sexueals than I reccomend you ask them face to face instead of hideing behind a screen name and acting like there scared to talk to whoever you are. They are part of a d1 wrestling family in Lincoln Nebraska and the husker wrestling family is shocked but will still support them becuase there teammates/ brothers. This put shame on those two but the husker wrestlers wont forget the leadership they showed and the good times they had with eachother ( no pun intended). Mark Manning is a great guy and if you got to know him like I do youd see why his teams place higher than Mark Johnsons" posted by "Greenlatern"

"I am not offended or put off by their actions. I do not believe their actions were immoral. They have every legal right to do what they did and I support that. I am glad to see we didn't have an overly homophobic reaction here. I wish them luck and hope they get back into wrestling or such other endeavors to which they aspire." posted by "Radical"

I want a show of hands of people who still support Paul no matter what!

someday all people will realize that having sex, showing pleasure or being gay or on a gay site are not crimes. Keep going on Paul. You are gorgeous, have a very sweet smile and are a great athlete. Be proud and ignore ignorant haters.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, "Outlaw religion and politics". They are the two biggest things screwing up this world.

I totaly support Paul's right to masturbate with other guys while other guys watch! I totaly support Paul as a gay man and a gay sportsman! It's great that so many people are accepting Paul for being gay and having the courage to come out! If more people like Paul could stand up and come out as gay it would set the example for others and put an end to this silly notion that gay men can't be jocks or sportsmen. Paul proves that wrong! Go Paul!

you are so stupid and so is Paul! He was kicked off the team cause he violated NCAA rules and because he signed a contract with the school. His being kicked off the team was a punishment and what dose he do, goes to another school. People should pay the price for thier choices and i hope the NCAA bans him from college sports. I also hope if he tries to sue his old school they counter sue him for breach of contract!

one of the best ways to support PAUL is to send a financial donation to Edinboro University designating the funds be used for wrestling in Paul's name. I've donated some already and am encouraging others to do so. That will support the program that is giving him the chance to just wrestle and will support him at the same time. Please go donate.

Hi "anonymous", thanks for the information. Can you give us a paypal payment link or a contact at Edinboro that we can make such donation?

    Best,

    Paul,

You're young and hot and a talented athlete. I'm glad I got to experience your "misstep." I'm also glad you got a second chance.

I'd hate to think where I would be if all my youthful mistakes were on the web and people felt compelled to judge me. Here's to second chances. Hope you can stay cheerful and handsome always.

Paul, don't let anything stand in your way. You did nothing wrong.

If there's all these stories about how girls strip their way through college/school, why is this such an ordeal - you go Paul!

  1. Anonymous Anonymous said:

all of you are morons, how sure are you he had his second chance- he's not yet reinstated by the NCAA. They still have to decide if Nash won't turn wrestling into a gay circus

  1. Anonymous James said:

To the last anonymous guy, you ARE the one who's a fucking moron. Paul Donahoe will be reinstated, just that it will take some time.

And "They still have to decide if Nash won't turn wrestling into a gay circus"? WTF? It's a pretty homoerotic sports anyways, rolling on the mat with another man, trying to pin each other down and all that shit. What Paul did was a JO movie, no contact with other men, no cock sucking, butt fucking etc. Just him happily blowing his load twice, if masturbation makes you gay all of you are gay. Big time.

I can understand the NCAA having rules against athletes making money from endorsements - after all the Stadiums and Schools themselves have deals. This is very different from making money from pictures wearing certain trainers or drinking a certain product though - it is no different from an athlete getting a job as a groundskeeper or stocker in a store in this regard. He made money using his body, not at all the same as endorsements.
