Read this if you support Paul Donahoe aka Fratmen Nash

Tuesday, September 9, 2008

Today I have spoken to Tim Flynn, the head coach of wrestling at Edinboro University. Edinboro took Paul Donahoe in after he was dismissed from the Nebraska wrestling team.

For those of you who have actually watched the Fratmen Nash jerk off clip, you would agree that Nash looks like an angel from Heaven! Paul Donahoe definitely has sacrificed a lot for our enjoyment. Since the outing drama broke out, he was dismissed from the Nebraska-Lincoln wrestling team, his mum, sisters, teammates and friends were worried to death for his well being. Hundreds of blog posts and a handful of national newspapers covered the story (not in a flattering way). As you can imagine, the drama places a lot of stress on him. Paul even broke down to tears when a reporter asked him about the possibility that scrutiny would follow him to Edinboro, his new school. And he is only 23 years old.

Since he was on a scholarship to attend Nebraska, transferring to another school means he may no longer be eligible for the same level of financial assistance. There are other hassles involved in transferring to Edinboro: getting to adapt to a new coach in a less prestigious school, unfamiliar teammates and training routines, unwanted attention and harassment from other students to name a few. Also, he has recently become the bullying target of other competitive wrestlers, one asshole left this comment on the blog:

all of you are morons, how sure are you he had his second chance- he's not yet reinstated by the NCAA. They still have to decide if Nash won't turn wrestling into a gay circus

The monetary and psychological cost have far exceeded what he has received. While doing porn may be a sensible move for those who aspire to make it big in the modeling or adult entertainment industry and who are willing to take a calculated risk, it is not the right career move for everyone.

For kids like Paul who have so much going on, he is much better off not showing his body for the world to see. And this is coming from someone who absolutely adores his great tanned body and big juicy wang.

What is done is done, and I hope Paul continues to thrive. Paul does not come from a wealthy family and he just wants to focus on getting a degree and continuing to wrestle. One of the visitor left a comment informing us that the best way to support Paul right now is to donate to the wrestling team that supports him in this critcial time. I ask you to seriously consider donating to the Edinboro University wrestling program. I have spoken to the head coach Tom Flynn and he welcomes donation of any amount. You can write a check to Edinboro University Wrestling and mail it to:

Tim Flynn
455 Scotland Rd.
Edinboro, PA 16444

Feel free to ask Tim any questions regarding helping Paul and his team, his email address is tflynn@edinboro.edu.

I know one of the Prepular readers has done it and so have I. Please show some support to Paul and show what fraternity is really about - offering help to a brother when help is needed.

Why not make a contribution to www.fratfund.org which is a scholarship program set up by Fratmen to send the guys back to college and pay for it? Making donations to their team isn't going to pay for school, making donations to the fraternity fund will.

I'm not trying to be critical or start a fight, but I wish people would stop using the term 'kid' when referring to men of Paul's age. Paul is a young man. He is attending college, living and working on his own, and dedicating himself to athletic achievement. That's what men do - not kids, not boys.

    Hi Farflung,
Thanks for the comment. From what I understand Fradfund is not accepting donation YET, it's waiting for the non profit status. Frad Fund is for everyone in fratpad, not just Paul. It's a good way to give if you want to send fratmen models back to college.

The Edinboro wrestling fund is for supporting Paul Donahoe specifically. You are of course welcome to contribute to both.

Fratmen is being hypocritical again. Better it not uses the guys who intend to study later, there are many homeless guys in LA whose future they can't destroy anymore. What good are the studies of its "victims" if they've destroyed their credentials already? If it truly has a conscience,a sholarship isn't the answer. It should just stop exploiting the young ones with their future still ahead of them

It's hard to wash your guilt with more hypocrisy
